Mental Health First Aid for Public Safety at Needham Police Department (1 day training)
Thursday, August 21st 8:00am - 4:00pm
8-hour course where participants learn the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, build understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help someone in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.

Psychological First Aid for Law Enforcement at Dedham Police Department (1 day)
Wednesday, September 17th 8:00am - 4:00pm
Psychological First Aid for Law Enforcement is an evidence informed, modular approach to assisting individuals to reduce distress after a potentially traumatic event such as natural disasters, terrorism, a public health emergency or a personal crisis. This training will assist officers in providing support to community members, fellow officers as well as to themselves immediately following a potentially traumatic event.

CIT Training at Needham Police Department (5-day training)
Tuesday, September 23rd - Thursday, 25th & Monday, September 29th - Tuesday, 30th 8:00am - 4:00pm
A 40 hour, 5-day comprehensive training designed to give police officers better recognition, communication, and de-esclation techniques when dealing with persons with mental illness as well as other people from vulnerable populations. It provides a different perspective on mental health and enables officers to conduct better follow ups and referrals in these cases. The goal is to divert these individuals away from the Criminal Justice System and towards necessary treatment, when appropriate.

CIT For Youth at Needham Police Department (2-day training)
Wednesday, October 1st and Thursday, 2nd 8:00am - 4:00pm
The training focuses on serving the needs of children in crisis (through high school age). It combines education, resources, and de-escalation skill building. The training would be particularly useful for SRO's or officers who frequently work with youth.

CIT Training at Walpole Police Department (5-day training)

CIT Recertification at Walpole Police Department (1-day training)
The training is recommended by DMH and the MPTC for officers who attended the five-day CIT training more than three years ago. It will consist of a review and updates on the most important portions of the CIT Training.
