Sgt. Chris Malinn
Sergeant Chris Malinn is a Detective Sergeant with the Brookline Police Department, where he supervises the Identification Unit, overseeing crime scene processing and evidence preservation. In addition to his investigative responsibilities, he manages firearm licensing, conducts background investigations, oversees the department's Sex Offender Registry, and leads recruitment efforts. Sgt. Malinn played a key role in developing and implementing the Brookline Police Department's Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) program and helped establish the Greater Boston Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team. Since Brookline was designated a CIT Training and Technical Assistance Center in 2016, he has overseen the training of more than 750 officers from agencies across Massachusetts. In recognition of his leadership in crisis intervention, he received the Department of Mental Health's Law Enforcement Exemplary Leadership Award in 2021.
Lt. David Hill
Lieutenant David Hill has served with the Brookline Police Department since 2008, beginning his career as a Patrol Officer after graduating from the Lowell Police Academy. Promoted to Sergeant in 2016 and Lieutenant in 2022, he has held leadership roles in both patrol operations and the Community Service Division. Lt. Hill currently oversees community policing initiatives and works closely with partner agencies. He runs the department’s Family Unit, and supervises the Crisis Negotiation Team, where he has helped strengthen the department's response to critical incidents through specialized training and collaboration.
Annabel Lane, LICSW
Annabel Lane is the Behavioral Health Support Manager for the Brookline Police Department, where she partners with officers and community members to support individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. Prior to joining Brookline Police, she worked with the Boston Emergency Services Team (BEST), the Massachusetts chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Massachusetts), and several community mental health agencies providing crisis, outpatient, and in-home services to adults, youth, and families. Lane is an integral member of the Brookline Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) and serves as a clinician on the Greater Boston Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team, providing support to first responders following critical incidents.
Gabriela Marpozan
Gabriela Marpozan is the Clinical Coordinator for the Norfolk County Crisis Intervention Team Training and Technical Assistance Center (CIT-TTAC), where she coordinates and delivers crisis intervention training for law enforcement agencies across Massachusetts. Prior to joining Brookline Police Department, she served for two years as the co-response clinician with the Dedham Police Department and previously worked as a Mobile Crisis Intervention clinician with Riverside Community Care. Gabriela is trained in crisis negotiation and has conducted mental health research at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Boston Healthcare System, bringing clinical, research, and public safety experience to her work in crisis response.
